25 days of giveaways: microplane kitchen bestseller set

Allow me to introduce you to one of my all-time favorite kitchen tools — a Microplane zester! Mine was actually a stocking stuffer from “Santa” years ago when I was graduating from college. I think that he knew better than I did what essentials I would need to stock my first kitchen!! Of course, years and hundreds of zests later, it is definitely the kitchen tool I cannot do without. For zesting fruits, grating herbs and cheese, and so much more, it definitely works like a pro.

Then about a year ago, I picked up one of Microplane’s newer products — an herb mill! What does an herb mill do, you might ask? Quite simply, it finely chops fresh herbs! And it does a great job!! I use mine constantly, especially when garnishing a dish. (Check out what a great job it did on this pizza). Best of all, it is quick, simple to clean, and a nice alternative to chopping a zillion herbs by hand. Love it. Love Microplane!

    I cannot tell you what my favorite Microplane product is because I don’t own any, but I am in dire need of a zester! I have been resorting to peeling and chopping.. no where near the same super-fine consistency and it takes forever!

    This would be amazing to have in the kitchen! I wish I could say what my favorite Microplane product was, but to be honest, I haven’t been on my own too long, and I haven’t had to budget to stock my kitchen. But I would love to be able to test this thing out! :)

    Loving how that herb mill works! That would be an awesome way to use the herbs in my little garden. And the zester would make quick work of those lemons on the tree–yummy for scones and other goodies.

    oh goodness will a microplane zester make me happy, i hate having to get out the behemoth grater just to zest a citrus fruit. the herb mill is def my fave because i can never chop fresh herbs as small as I desire w a simple knife and cutting board.

    As a recent college graduate myself – just this semester – I am also in the process of stocking my kitchen with the necessary items. I am also replacing my old, dented pots and pans and looking for a new set of pans. (what’s that?!) I have never heard of Microplane before, but I now know what type of products I will be looking for! I just checked out their website, and I know where my first paycheck will be spent! How did I live without them? I absolutely love to cook, and have been trying my hand at baking recently, too. Zesting is just not happening with my hand grater, which is what I currently attempt to use. The herb mill is also a GREAT idea! I have a small hern garden at my house and I love to cook with fresh herbs. The folks at Microplane are pure genius! Thanks for showing me what a fabulous company they are :)

    My favorite microplane product is..I have no idea! Never heard of it! But I send a lot of time in my kitchen and that spice mill would be SO useful! I am always chopping herbs up by hand and it is a pain.

    I’ve never seen the Microoplane herb mill, but it looks like it’d be a huge time saver for adding cilantro or basil when whipping up a meal (and I pretty much add those to anything I can!).
