apple crisp or apple dumplings are delicious!

  2. My favorite way to eat apples? It’s a tie between old fashioned apple pie with vanilla ice cream, or just with extra, extra sharp cheddar and some crusty bread. You just can’t beat the classics–they’re popular for a reason!

I made your Appledoodle cookies last night. Very moist and delicious. My husband loves them. He said that recipe is a keeper. LOL I love them, too. But, I’d say my favorite way to eat apples is still my mother’s apple pie. Yummy!

  10. My favorite way to enjoy an apple is at Cedar Point, sliced in a bowl with caramel sauce! Roller coasters and apples.

  11. I’m now a facebook fan! I don’t use or follow twitter I’m afraid!

  12. Since I was 8, I have always enjoyed freshly pressed hot apple cider. We would make a whole day of the event – pick the apples, rent the press, heat the cider, and then sell it on the side of the road like a lemonade stand! Such good memories make the cider always taste so sweet and delicious!

  13. Oh also, I am an RSS subscriber!

  14. My favorite way is fresh off the tree! I also like to eat the whole core. Apple seeds (with negligible amounts of cyanide!) taste like vanilla!

  15. I follow you on Twitter.

  29. So glad for the chance to win this. :) And I like the idea of building a whole yummy theme around it.

  30. Every year we have so many left over apples from our trees – I just chop them up and set them in a pot with a little water, a lot of cinnamon, and nutmeg. After it has simmered down for quite a while – just use a potato masher to make chunky applesauce. You can add sugar as well, but I find the apples are sweet enough by themselves. If you have left over pears you can add them as well. I usually don’t peal them because it is so much work, and your sauce will be deep pink if you leave the skins on!

  31. My preferred way of enjoying apples is bobbing for them. Go way back with you on Twitter…

  32. Apple desserts are a big favorite of mine. I love making apple crisps and playing with recipes for the topping. Just dipping a fresh apple slices into peanut butter is great too!

I love apple crisp! I just love that the apples aren’t drowned in sugar for most apple crisp recipes, they keep their naturally delicious taste. And of course, I love the yummy crumbles on the top! mmmmmmm

  85. Apples are best in candied form….and I’m not talking candied-apples, rather Jolly Rancher, Sweettarts, Runts, etc and even then, I’m not happy that they replaced lime. If someone could come up with an artificial flavoring for cinnamon apple though, I’d probably change my tune.

  86. now I’m a fan on facebook too =)

  125. This is the time of the year when it’s so easy to add cooking apples to that pan of pork chops, or toss them into bran muffins or just about anything, so I love reading what you suggest! My newest find is a cake using lots of apples, cranberries, walnuts and stirring it all together so I don’t even have to use my mixer!!! I feel almost like I’m eating a health food with this cake!

Loved following you in New York City on Facebook…

  126. One of the only things I can bake (besides frozen chocolate chip cookie dough from the store) is a homemade apple pie – that’s how I like my apples! The kitchen turns into a disaster and I’ve tried every crust from frozen, to oil/wheat flour, to Crisco (I know, kinda bad for ya). Pack in the Granny Smith apples, put egg whites on top of the crust, bake and sprinkle some cinnamon …

  127. I love Apple Crisp

  146. Good old homemade applesauce is my favorite!

  147. When I was young my favorite, by far, was apple crisp. Since I’ve adopted my grandmother’s apple bread recipe (and my family has tried – albeit unsuccessfully – to perfect it), which has become my go-to apple treat (when not snacking on a fresh, Jonathan apple, that is)!

I’m already subscribed to the RSS feed, and I’m now a twitter follower and facebook fan, and I tweeted about the contest!

I LOVE making this sauteed apple dish. It’s chopped and sliced apples with sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and a bit o’ salt with a bunch off butter, all sauteed until the apples are browned and very very tender, and the sugar creates a sauce. It’s amazing over french vanilla ice cream!

  177. My favorite way to enjoy apples is fresh! I especially like Granny Smith green apples or Gala. But really, you can’t go wrong with apple pie or apple sauce or apple juice, or really anything apple!

  183. I am also a facebook and twitter fan!! Love it~!

  184. CARAMEL APPLE CUPCAKES, for sure! Mmmm! Okay, and anything that deals with caramel apples really. lol

  185. I love apples in any form – fresh, apple pies, apple crumbles, etc. but the way I would most like to enjoy them is in the apple butter that my Mother used to make. She left me her recipe, but I can’t get it to taste like hers (maybe memories are like that).
