giveaway: 6-piece grater set

For the conclusion to “Zucchini Week”, thought it was only appropriate to do a giveaway of the tool I used about a zillion times this week — a grater!

Although this isn’t your typical grater.  I don’t know about any of you, but I’ve never been a huge fan of vertical box graters.  The angle never feels that natural or comfortable, and the grater occasionally slips out of place.  So for a giveaway, thought it would be fun to offer this 6-piece Progressive International grater.  As you can see, it sits flat, and has four interchangeable graters you can pop in and out.  Simple, and quite functional (especially for grating zucchini!!!).

My favorite way to cook with zucchini is to toss it in a frying pan with some tomatoes, onions and olive oil. Simple side dish. Though that zucchini pizza looks delicious!

  19. Jason — September 9, 2011 @ 10:32 am (#)

I really want to try those zucchini waffles you posted! They look amazing, and–of course–remind me of those guilty times eating way too many slices of zucchini bread.

My favorite way to prepare zucchini has always been in fritter form. Shredded up and mixed with some flour, cheese, and plenty of garlic? Fry those puppies up and oh yes! To-die-for! :)

  20. McKenzie W. — September 9, 2011 @ 12:34 pm (#)

It is so hard to pick just one…I usually do not cook with zucchini at home, but the pizza looked great and the waffles and cake sound like a great idea! I bet it makes them so moist! Someone mentioned adding it to meatloaf…I bet Ryan would love that! (meatloaf is his favorite food!)

  21. Molly — September 9, 2011 @ 12:49 pm (#)

My favorite recipe was the zucchini pizza with roasted garlic sauce. I am going to try this soon!

My favorite way to cook zucchini is actually on the barbecue (which means I am generally not the one actually doing the cooking :). We have a grill basket and use it to grill all sorts of veggies all summer long!
