giveaway: salsabol
‘Tis the season for homemade salsa!!! Well, actually, I’m pretty much obsessed with chips and salsa year-round. But with so many delicious, ripe tomatoes, peppers, and other fresh veggies in abundance, this is the perfect time to whip up a batch!
So when Salsabol contacted me this month and asked if we’d like to do a giveaway on the site, I was intrigued. Apparently, the creators are two guys who share the salsa-love, but were frustrated by salsa spillage over the side of their bowls. So they designed these cute little bowls with a special “lip” that pushes the salsa (or dip) back onto your chip each time you scoop.
My friends and I were more than happy to give this cute little bowl a “test” this week, with a batch of fresh summer veggies salsa (recipe to follow!). And sure enough, we didn’t even need to have another bowl or plate underneath the Salsabol – zero spillage! As they promised, the bowl indeed “saved our salsa”. Who knew?!
So to celebrate salsa season and this creative idea from Salsabol, we’re giving away salsabols this week to FOUR lucky Gimme Some Oven readers! So see below for entry details, and enter to win! Good luck!!

1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
Salt and Black Pepper to Taste

I love a super-chunky, but mild salsa! (I’m a wuss when it comes to spice.)
Looks like a great bowl. I love all kinds of salsa! Katie’s fiance Adam made some great stuff this weekend, but I don’t think he had a recipe.

Just posted on my FB wall – love this bowl. If I don’t win it, I’m going to find out how to purchase it!

Favorite salsa is anything fresh & hot! My favorite to make at home is a cowboy caviar of sorts with black beans, corn, Rotel, red onion, and tomato.
Sweet Pepper Salsa from the store that I shop at.
i enjoy salsas that are tasty and not just spicy. generally i feel that roasting the peppers and/or tomatoes gives a better look and flavor. please don’t put in big pieces of cilantro. make it very small or leave it out all together.
Thank you for offering this fabulous giveaway! Summertime Pico de Gallo is my all time fav!
One of my favorites is mango salsa! I use red peppers, tomatoes, roasted corn, lime, jalepenos, cilantro, onion, and of course mango!!! :D

Salsa Verde!!!! Deeeeeelicious!
I am now a fan on facebook :)
I love salsa! My current favorite is mango salsa.
I simply adore Pioneer Woman’s pico de gallo recipe…I was under the impression that my favorite salsa was ridiculously hard to make until I found it on her site.
I must admit to being a bit lazy when it comes to salsa and just buying whichever one on the shelf looks good, but when it comes to making something to dip into myself, I love chunky guacamole – I pile avocado, spanish onion, tomato and a tiny amount of hot pepper into the food processor, give it a quick whiz and it’s all set!
My favorite kinds of salsa just include no onions, and extra hot peppers. Usually I use jalapenos and habaneros. I also find that my salsa goes best with blue corn chips.
I’m a facebook fan as well!
I’m loving guacamole this summer! Does that count as salsa? :)
My favorite salsa is one that my mom found in an old magazine from 1995. It’s amazing. She uses fresh tomatoes right out of her garden. It’s healthy, packed with flavor, and delicious alone or with a meal!

Awesome. I like really chunky salsa fresca with loads of cilantro and lime. yum!

Any salsa is a good salsa!
Salsa verde made with roasted tomatillos is my favorite. I also love salsa with fresh summer tomatoes – in fact I got 10 pounds of tomatoes at the farmer’s market today with salsa on my mind! Oh, and I like all my salsa heavy on the cilantro! Yummy!
I like to mix picante, creamed corn, and black beans together to make a salsa.
mmm, salsa. As I was picking 5 jalapenos today, I was thinking about how I needed to make salsa again! I love just a basic tomato salsa that is well seasoned and a little spicy.
my favorite salsa is the kind my mom makes for a chicken dish, we actually had it the other night! It’s a sweet mango salsa with mangos, sugar, lime juice, cilantro i think and a few other ingredients…it was so good! I too love to cook and bake and my aunt told me to check out this blog, and i love it!
I love salsa. Especially in the summer. However my favorite is thrown together salsa. Fresh tomatoes and sometimes the unexpected avocado cut up in my salsa. :) Yummy!
Oh and I follow this blog on google reader!
This is SUCH a great idea! And I loooooove salsa!
I really like pear salsa, it has pears, red onion, cherry tomatoes (my favourite kind of tomatoes. But you don’t have to put any tomatoes in the recipe if you don’t want to.), lime juice, cilantro, salt and pepper. So good! Also good with mango instead!
hollcrawford@gmail.com

My favorite salsa recipe is so easy and so good. My family calls it Buckshot but I’m not sure where the name comes from. It’s 1 jar salsa, 1-2 cans corn, 1-2 cans kidney beans a dash of olive oil and a splash of lime juice. Adjust the recipe to you taste! YUM!

Aaah I LOVE salsa! My favorite is a simple pico de gallo, but in all honesty I would prefer some homemade guacamole. This bowl would be PERFECT for homemade guac! We always make such a mess trying to scoop mounds of it onto the tiniest chip.

Oh, and I’m an RSS subscriber now :)
I love Pioneer Woman’s Restaurant Style Salsa, but your colorful summer one is next on my list!
I love salsa! But I usually get store bought salsa because making it intimidates me! Your salsa looks delicious!
My family usually mixes our salsa with some sour cream to make it tart and a little rich. It’s awesome with nachos, and has a way more personality than textbook salsas.
my favorite salsa is a mango, black bean and roasted corn salsa. it is tasty.
I love fresh corn and black bean salsa… so yummy!

I like my salsa simple – tomato-heavy, spicy, and saucy enough that chunks aren’t always falling off my chip.
Any Frontera salsa! The roasted tomatoes make it sooooo yummy! Or just throw a few tomatoes, peppers, onions, cilantro, lime juice and seasoning in the food processor!
I usually cheat and add some fresh stuff (e.g. avocado, corn, mango, black beans) to some store bought stuff.
btw, love your blog.
I love any kind of Black Bean and Corn Salsa… I think I could literally eat my weight in it if given the chance!
How cute is that?!

Juice of one lime

Salt and pepper to taste
Yummy! I think I will make some today :-)

http://aspoonfulofsugah.blogspot.com/2010/06/samba-to-this-salsa.html
Mmm… salsa I like mild salsa with fruit in it! Like peach tomato, yum!
For a salsa that’s super-delish, grill it! I like to use slices of red onion, a few cloves of garlic, a whole jalapeno, and even some fresh pineapple if I have it. I also halve an avocado (trust me, grilled avocado is amazing!), and set both halves cut-side-down. Throw it all on the grill (using a grill basket if you need to) and let it go until you’ve got those gorgeous grill marks. Then, take it inside, dice your ingredients, add some chopped fresh tomato, squeeze in some lime juice, and sprinkle it with salt and pepper. It’s smokey and totally addictive – and you can improvise with your favorite fresh produce, from corn to peaches. Yum!
Wow this bowl looks awesome! Great giveaway!
My favorite salsa is a habenero version with plenty of tomato!
Love these bowls..
How ingenious! I love peach or mango salas, but I rarely make my own. This would be a perfect incentive.
*first-time poster! I found you through Tastespotting (I think? lol) a few weeks ago. I love the site.
I love mango salsa… but it must also be spicy! I don’t like tomatoes very much, so my salsa must be without tomato chunks… like restaurant-style salsa!
