The pretzel nacho love continues! After sharing this yummy sweet version of pretzel nachos, it only seemed right to follow it up with a savory classic — Loaded Cheesy Pretzel Nachos.
These are basically all of the goodness of loaded baked nachos, with tons of ooey gooey melted cheese, tomatoes (or salsa), avocados, onions, fresh cilantro, and whatever other favorite toppings you might want to throw in. But instead of making them with tortilla chips, try subbing in these Pretzel Crisps instead. I absolutely loved how they came together!
Friends, I’m pretty sure you’re going to need to try this next recipe in our Guinness Week lineup — Guinness Pulled Pork!
I made a big batch of this yesterday to share with my good friends and neighbors, David and Suzannah, who just brought the sweetest little baby girl named Ava into the world. I asked if they wanted tacos or sliders, and they requested the latter. So I brought over this pulled pork and some salad for dinner, and we spent a wonderful evening catching up on all things life and parenthood and faith and more — made all the better by the fact that I got to spend nearly the entire time holding their tiny 12-day-old sleeping daughter in my arms.
Guinness Week continues with a slightly different way to enjoy your pint of stout — Guinness Floats!
These floats are as easy as 1-2-3. First, place a few scoops of your favorite chocolate or vanilla ice cream into a glass. Then slowly pour in some Guinness and watch it foam like crazy. And finally, top with some chocolate syrup or chocolate sauce.
I actually made this recipe about a month ago, before I posted my Potato Soup with Bacon and Truffle Oil, but just finally got around to sharing it. But once again, the bacon and truffle oil combination totally kicked one of my favorite recipes up a notch. I loved it! The subtle undertones of the truffle oil and the smoky, salty crunch of the bacon paired perfectly with the creamy mac and cheese. And while I chose to make this version stovetop, you could also easily sprinkle it with some breadcrumbs and pop it in the oven for an extra-delicious baked version.
Whew. This 9-word recipe title may win the award for the longest I’ve published so far.
Actually, I really wanted to name it Healthier Wheat-Germ Crusted Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken with Greek Yogurt Ranch Sauce. But I’m pretty sure that Google and the concise-ness police probably wouldn’t have been too happy with me. :)
Ok, so it looks like I chose to post a soup recipe on the one crazy 74-degree day in the middle of January.
But even though I am writing this in a tank top, my flip flops, with an iced coffee in my hand, that doesn’t change the fact that I have been craving soups nonstop lately. As in, I have zero self-discipline to wait until I finish my leftovers from one before I whip up a new batch. So I may or may not have used up pretty much all of the tupperware I own, which is now falling out of gracing the interior of my freezer. Because did I mention that I always make double batches of soups?
Whenever I have a party, the first appetizers that always disappear are the meat dishes…especially when meatballs are involved. I don’t know what it is, but people seem to go nuts over a good meatball!
Of all the popular appetizer options out there, I definitely appreciate how quick, versatile and easy meatballs are to make. And I’m all for any recipe that my friends will enjoy!
