Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! And for all of you out there who “heart” popcorn as much as I do, I have the quick and easy perfect snack for you — Valentine’s Popcorn!

This is actually just a simple recipe for white chocolate popcorn, gussied up a bit for V-Day. But I had a little too much fun when I started playing with sprinkles, so I ended up making and photographing not one but two versions of this “lovely” popcorn for you.

The first Valentine’s Popcorn (pictured above) is a sweet and salty popcorn with conversation hearts and pastel sprinkles mixed in. And then the second version is pretty much me going crazy with red and white sprinkles. Both can be made in minutes, and are sure to be a favorite with those you love.

So break out the sprinkles, and enjoy sharing the popcorn “love” this Valentine’s!

Instructions

  1. Heat chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler until melted.
  2. Place the popcorn in a large bowl, and pour the melted chocolate over it. Then use a spoon to toss the popcorn gently until it is evenly coated with the chocolate. Spread the popcorn out evenly on a baking sheet covered with parchment, wax paper, or aluminum foil. Sprinkle evenly with the salt, then sprinkle with as many sprinkles and conversation hearts as you would like.
  3. Let cool for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened. Break up into small pieces then serve or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
