For Day 2 of our “25 Days Of Giveaways” at Gimme Some Oven, I’m excited to introduce you to perhaps the one scale in life that you will absolutely love — a “Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale” from EatSmart!

I have owned this exact kitchen scale for the past few years, and absolutely love it! I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first about whether or not I would actually use a kitchen scale, and if it would take up valuable space in the kitchen. But once I saw how small and lightweight it was, and how super-simple it is to use, I was hooked. Mine has been a fantastic help in cooking and baking…especially baking bread!! It is also amazingly accurate, especially when measuring exact ingredients and helping with calorie counting. Such a great tool.

So read below for details on how to enter. And continue to check back each day this month for more festive foodie giveaways!

  1. What a fun idea! Hope you are doing well- we miss you!

  2. I would love to take my baking to a more advanced level. Measuring cups just doesn’t cut it in really precise and finicky recipes.

  3. I’ve been trying to eat healthier, and this would definitely help me be more conscious of portion sizes!

  4. I have a bunch of recipes from when I lived in Europe that use weights instead of cups!

  5. it would make baking so much easier!!!

  6. I would like a scale to help with calorie counting… measure out how much deli meat I’m using, etc.

  7. The number of batches of feet-less macarons I’ve made as a result of inaccurate measurements definitely completely justifies the procurement of a kitchen scale, in my opinion. :P
I’ve also started making bread pretty regularly, and would love to switch over from volumetric measures. The few times I’ve used a scale, I’ve had great successes.

  8. I’ve seen other people mentioning using it to inform food choices. My mom’s a nutritionist, and she’s told me a number of times that the weight of a food option doesn’t really tell you much about its nutrition, but it can definitely help in figuring out portion sizes! While I probably wouldn’t whip it out in the dining hall, having a food scale would certainly be helpful in portion control.

  9. Also, forgot to mention…the link to the newsletter isn’t actually working. Just a heads up! I’ve ‘liked’ Eat Smart on fb and am going to go dig up that newsletter…actually sounds pretty interesting.

  10. I would love to have this scale because I am always counting my calories, and sometimes serving sizes come in weight! This would be so helpful!

  11. i would love to me more accurate when baking bread and pizza dough

  12. I have been wanting a digital scale for the longest. Thanks for the giveaway.

  14. This would be helpful with the upcoming holiday baking!

  15. Bread! I need one for bread! My postal scale just isn’t cutting it.

  16. I am always intrigued when recipes have weight measurements for ingredients and would love to see how it improves my baking!

  17. I would LOVE this digital scale! I am on weight watchers and a lot of the recipes are in ounces. I do not own a scale so I have been guessing for the weight of foods! This would make my life so much easier! I hope I win!

  19. I like Eat Smart Products on Facebook as well!

  20. I like Eat Smart Products on FB!

  21. I have a digital scale, but it’s almost dead. I use it pretty much every day and would love to have a new scale that works all of the time. It’s a necessary kitchen tool and this one looks fantastic! Thanks for having the contest.

  22. I measure by weight for most baking and I’m so frustrated with my current scale. It shuts off after like 15 sec of inactivity! I’d love to replace it with something like this!

  23. I’d weigh out meat before I freeze it–that way I’ll have reasonable portions when I’m in a rush and just need to thaw something for dinner before I head to work in the morning.

  24. I would love to have this digital cooker! Ryan & I were just talking about how we need to get serious with our health starting today!

  25. I’d use the scale to make macarons!

  26. I like Gimme Some Oven on facebook!

  27. I use a digital scale to make coffee at work all the time — it’s the only precise way to do it! — and I know in my heart that having one in my own kitchen would make me a better baker, but I haven’t seemed to be able to bite the bullet on one!

  28. Why wouldn’t I want one?! ;)

  29. I would love to have a digital scale for portion control.

  35. I’d love to have this scale in my kitchen to help with portion control! I’ve changed my eating habits and I’m healthier than I’ve ever been, but I really don’t know what 4 oz of meat is. This would help!

  36. i have never used a kitchen scale before but my husband and I need it to help us rein in our diets

  37. I have never had a kitchen scale, and have always wanted one!!

  38. My husband and I always fight over how much is in this or that. This will help keep us both in check! ;)

  41. I would love to be more precise in my baking. This scale would be a big help.

  42. because we have never had one LoL :)

  43. I would love to have a scale so I can accurately measure my chocolate when baking!

  44. I would love a kitchen scale! I am a huge baker, and precise measurements are so important. It’s also a great method of portion control – serving sizes are usually in grams.

  45. I would love to have one of these! I’m trying to really get into cooking (I usually only do baking and such) and it’s so hard with different meats and stuff to know how much to use when a recipe calls for a certain amount.
