{for the home} new year’s table setting

Can you believe today is New Year’s Eve? Time is flying by! I hope you all have fun and festive plans for this evening! We have some very close friends from New York in town and are planning a small, but fun get together with them. Even though there will only be a few of us I took this as a chance to pull out all of my fancy place settings! I don’t know if any of you were eyeing the Christmas feather placemats from Target, (sorry, must be only in stores now) but I had been wanting them all season. But for $3.99 a piece that seemed a little pricey to me. I decided to check out the after Christmas sales and found them for only $1.18 a piece! So obviously I bought 8. :) From there I just grabbed what I had around the house and put together a festive table setting. I always say use what you have!
For the table settings I used:
- Classic white dishes (these are our daily dishes)
- Hammered gold napkin rings
- White cloth napkins
- 8oz quilted mason jars for drinks
- wine/champagne glasses
Our table is really narrow (we chose a long, but narrow table from Ikea because we live in a smaller space but still wanted a lot of seating). so I decided to go with a really small and simple centerpiece. Remember these candlesticks? I pulled some of them out and then used the felted flowers from here, and a few candlesticks to create a simple, but classy centerpiece.
When we moved to our new loft we realized we needed some more lighting which I of course jumped on right away and we bought one of my favorite lights from Lowe’s.
Hope you all have a safe, and happy New Year’s Eve!
Looks so cute!
