Description

See the video above for a visual on how to cut Brussels sprouts three different ways — halved, shredded or finely-shredded.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts

Instructions

To Halve Brussels Sprouts:

  1. Slice off and discard the bottom end of each Brussels sprout, as well as any wilted or discolored leaves.
  2. Slice vertically to halve the Brussels sprouts.

To Shred Brussels Sprouts:

  1. Slice off and discard the bottom end of each Brussels sprout, as well as any wilted or discolored leaves. Slice vertically to halve the Brussels sprouts.
  2. Then place the halves cut-side-down, and thinly slice horizontally to shred by hand.

To Finely-Shred Brussels Sprouts:

  1. Slice off and discard the bottom end of each Brussels sprout, as well as any wilted or discolored leaves.
  2. Using a food processor with the fine shredding disc attachment, finely shred the Brussels sprouts.
