Why We Love It:
Aside from the chips and salsa (our love language) that come free at the tables, San Pedrito is the perfect combination of delicious, authentic recipes, friendly service and one of the best-designed restaurants in town.
Menu Recommendations:
- Mediodía (the mid-day lunch menu) at San Pedrito is one of our favorites, as it gives you a chance to try a few of their offerings for a reasonable price. Monday-Friday, from about noon until 4:00pm.
- Their ceviche is fresh and full-flavored. We order it nearly every time.
- Sopa Azteca is delicious and vegetarian-friendly :)
Other Tips:
- While they have an interesting list of cocktails, for an authentic southern Mexican experience we recommend Mezcal. It comes in shot glasses, but are very much for sipping. If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, it comes with orange slices and a sprinkle of sal de gusano – worm salt. Think of mezcal like the Scotch of the tequila world. It’s smoky, strong and delicious.
