Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! And for all of you out there who “heart” popcorn as much as I do, I have the quick and easy perfect snack for you — Valentine’s Popcorn!

This is actually just a simple recipe for white chocolate popcorn, gussied up a bit for V-Day. But I had a little too much fun when I started playing with sprinkles, so I ended up making and photographing not one but two versions of this “lovely” popcorn for you.

The first Valentine’s Popcorn (pictured above) is a sweet and salty popcorn with conversation hearts and pastel sprinkles mixed in. And then the second version is pretty much me going crazy with red and white sprinkles. Both can be made in minutes, and are sure to be a favorite with those you love.

So break out the sprinkles, and enjoy sharing the popcorn “love” this Valentine’s!

  14. I just made this for my grandmother for valentines day. She has celiac disease and it is always very hard to find good holiday treats that are gluten free. I used sweethearts, and sprinkles which are both gluten free. Thank you for posting this recipe.

  15. I just made this and your caramel popcorn. But the white chocolate made the popcorn go soft. Any ideas how to prevent it? Ps it tastes amazing

  16. did this! Good and so cute but I did two batches to experiment with. One was white chocolate and the other was with vanilla almond bark… The white chocolate is still sticky (an hour later) and the almond bark gets hard after only 5 minutes. I prefer the almond bark over the white chocolate. I also seasoned the popcorn with sea salt before mixing with the chocolate/almond bark

  17. I’m doing this for my daughters class for Valentines day, but I’m popping the popcorn with pink food coloring to add an extra layer of color =) Thanks for the inspiration!!

  18. Great Idea!!!!

  22. This popcorn is so fun! I love the bags tool I will be making this for neighbors and friends. I also love the heart tag that says what kind of popcorn it is.

  23. How far ahead of time can you make this?

  24. Did you just pop regular seeds over the stove? Or did you use a presalted bag or?

    • Hi Ashley! We’ve done both, so it’s totally up to you! :) However, if you use a pre-salted bag, we wouldn’t add the 1/2 tsp salt.

  25. Hi Ali!

Gimme some oven  is such an awesome site! It’s so great for valentines day!
I’m Carmen, a writer for Spoon University, and I’m writing a story about easy food ideas for valentine’s day. If it’s okay with you, I’d love to use the first photo in your article and of course give you proper photo credit.

If you could let me know ASAP, that would be great.

Thanks so much ahead of time.

    • Hi Carmen! Ali is actually in New Zealand right now, so I’m helping her out with responding to comments. I know Ali would be fine with this, just as long as you provide the proper credit. Thank you for asking permission, and for your interest! :)

  26. yes yes yes and its gluten free!

  27. What kind if popcorn do you use?

    • Hi Katie! We just used good old Orville Redenbacher’s, but feel free to use whatever kind you like! :)

  28. Love your recipes and presentation! Very easy and simple to follow instructions! Beautiful pictures! I will be making some of these treats for our children’s Valentine’s Day Fundraiser! Thanks again! Donna

  29. What brand of white chocolate do you recommend? And I’m assuming its the baking chocolate and not white chocolate candy bar? Thanks

  30. We made this today for my son’s Valentine’s Day party. We subbed the popcorn for rice Chex since they’re toddlers and the school doesn’t allow popcorn. It turned out SO cute and tasty.

  31. I made spaghetti squash for the first time last night and LOVED it! I started eating gluten free recently, and my gluten-eating BF was craving pasta I tried spaghetti squash. He tried a bit of mine, and liked it – so it looks like i’ll be searching out more spaghetti squash recipes!
