Valentine’s Popcorn (White Chocolate Popcorn)

Valentine's Popcorn (White Chocolate Popcorn) |

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!  And for all of you out there who “heart” popcorn as much as I do, I have the quick and easy perfect snack for you — Valentine’s Popcorn!

This is actually just a simple recipe for white chocolate popcorn, gussied up a bit for V-Day.  But I had a little too much fun when I started playing with sprinkles, so I ended up making and photographing not one but two versions of this “lovely” popcorn for you.

The first Valentine’s Popcorn (pictured above) is a sweet and salty popcorn with conversation hearts and pastel sprinkles mixed in.  And then the second version is pretty much me going crazy with red and white sprinkles.  Both can be made in minutes, and are sure to be a favorite with those you love.

So break out the sprinkles, and enjoy sharing the popcorn “love” this Valentine’s!

This delicious White Chocolate Popcorn is perfect for Valentine's Day!

Heat chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler until melted.

Place the popcorn in a large bowl, and pour the melted chocolate over it. Then use a spoon to toss the popcorn gently until it is evenly coated with the chocolate. Spread the popcorn out evenly on a baking sheet covered with parchment, wax paper, or aluminum foil. Sprinkle evenly with the salt, then sprinkle with as many sprinkles and conversation hearts as you would like.

Let cool for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened. Break up into small pieces then serve or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

If you make this recipe, be sure to snap a photo and hashtag it #gimmesomeoven. I'd love to see what you cook!

I just made this for my grandmother for valentines day. She has celiac disease and it is always very hard to find good holiday treats that are gluten free. I used sweethearts, and sprinkles which are both gluten free. Thank you for posting this recipe.

I just made this and your caramel popcorn. But the white chocolate made the popcorn go soft. Any ideas how to prevent it? Ps it tastes amazing

Such a cute popcorn recipe Ali!

did this! Good and so cute but I did two batches to experiment with. One was white chocolate and the other was with vanilla almond bark… The white chocolate is still sticky (an hour later) and the almond bark gets hard after only 5 minutes. I prefer the almond bark over the white chocolate. I also seasoned the popcorn with sea salt before mixing with the chocolate/almond bark

I’m doing this for my daughters class for Valentines day, but I’m popping the popcorn with pink food coloring to add an extra layer of color =) Thanks for the inspiration!!
