You all know how much I love 5-ingredient recipes.
So when I showed up to small group last weekend and heard my friend, Rachel, mention across the room that she had made a 5-ingredient salsa to share, you’d better believe this food blogger’s ears perked up.
Once I caught sight of it, with all of those vivid colors and seasonal fruits, I was immediately sold. Once I tasted it, I knew I had to share it with you pronto.
Can you guess the 5 ingredient??
The first four ingredients were probably easy to spot — lots of fresh pears, pomegranate seeds, cilantro, red onion, and…lime! ย The secret ingredient is lime!
It definitely pulls the salsa together and gives it that classic citrusy kick. Rachel also recommends seasoning the salsa with a little salt and pepper, which I agreed was lovely. (And those don’t “count” as ingredients anyway, right??)
Pretty sure our group devoured this salsa that evening. The savory and sweet combo is just irresistible, especially when paired with salty tortilla chips.
Then when I made a second batch this week and shared it with neighbors, they also texted back raving reviews.
I even turned a few of the leftovers into an arugula salad to share with my parents who are in town for a few days. (I also added feta cheese, and topped it with a citrus vinaigrette.) ย Delish!!
Perfect for dipping, perfect for salad-ing, andย definitely perfect for sharing. Thanks, Rachel! :)
