Terraza Martínez

Terraza Martínez:

What It Is:

One of Barcelona’s best-known places for paella, nestled in the heart of Montjuïc with beautiful views of the Mediterranean.

Where It’s Located:

Montjuíc | Google Map

Why We Love It:

Though Valencia claims true ownership of this classic Spanish dish, there are some delicious options for paella in Barcelona as well, and Martínez is one of our faves. Far from the tourist areas in the city center with scenic views of the port, this popular restaurant has been in the business of making classic paellas for years.

Menu Recommendations:

  • We ordered a classic paella, which included traditional Valencian chicken and rabbit. Plus pan con tomate, olives and vino.

Other Tips:

  • Good paella is expensive no matter where you go, but just be advised that you’ll pay a bit extra for the views here.
  • Check out our downloadable travel guide map for other spots to visit in Montjuïc!
