You all know I couldn’t go too long without posting another recipe with wonton wrappers. (For you newbies, they happen to be one of my favorite ingredients!)
In honor of football season and fun gametime apps, I decided to turn everyone’s favorite pizza ingredients into cute little “Easy Pizza Cups”! These couldn’t be more simple. Bake up some wonton shells, fill them with your favorite pizza toppings, pop them back in the oven for a bit to melt the cheese, and voila! These adorable little pizza cups are yours to enjoy. And let me tell ya – they will easily disappear before halftime if you’re watching the game!!
The fun thing is that they are completely customizable. And if you have kids around, or want to get friends involved in customizing their own, these are a great idea for a make-your-own-appetizer set up. Everyone will love tossing in their favorite toppings, and then crunching into them once they are cooked to perfection.
Definitely a fun twist on serving pizza. And in my opinion, much cuter — which is of course the bigger issue. ;)
These easy pizza cups are a great way to serve pizza for appetizers…with a crunch!
Ingredients
Scale
24 wonton wrappers
1 cup pizza or marinara sauce
your favorite pizza toppings (I used pepperoni, chopped green and yellow peppers, onions and mushrooms)
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
Italian seasoning
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Press the wonton wrappers into the bottom of a mini-muffin tin, making sure that the edges do not curl in to block the opening of the “cups”. Bake for 7 minutes until the cups are firm.
Fill with 1 teaspoon of marinara sauce, then fill with your pizza toppings. Top with a generous pinch of shredded cheese, and a sprinkle of Italian seasonings. Repeat with remaining pizza cups. Then bake for an additional 7-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
You and I are so meant to be friends. I have been on a serious wonton wrapper obsessive kick lately. These are going on my list of things to make with them! They look absolutely delish!
I always LOVE LOVE LOVE your wonton wrapper recipes. They’re all so great and so creative! I really like this pizza one too, especially with football season here.
Ali, here you go again with the adorable little bite sized treats! I love all of them that you make and these are no exception. I actually have a package of wonton wrappers that I haven’t come up with a use for yet. I was thinking some sort of spinach cheesey destiny for them but your pizza cups just sound so much better to me. Plus, it’s FRIDAY. Friday = pizza does it not? I could gobble up the entire plate of these lol!
Could you bake and keep the wonton’s overnight before filling them do you think? Would love to make these for my daughters birthday party but would try to do as much in advance as possible.
Made these for the Super Bowl and they were a HUGE hit. My boyfriend would’ve eaten the whole tray if I’d let him. I made the wontons earlier in the day to save some time and they were perfect. When I filled them I layered the pizza sauce, then mozzarella, then a single turkey pepperoni for a perfect snack of about 54 calories a piece.
Hi. Im planning on making this next week. Looks yummy! Can i reblog it at losing200fun? I am logging my meals and weight loss journey there.

Where do you get your wrappers? I’ve always wanted to try them but cant seem to find them!
In my supermarket (Publix) they’re in the produce section, around the bean sprouts.
