Let’s do this, guys. Pack up your second breakfast and get your furry feet to a theatre tomorrow! Here’s a rundown on your Hobbit viewing choices (HFR 3D, IMAX 3D, RealD 3D and classic 2D). Find tickets to a local theatre here.
While you’re waiting in line, whip out your smart phone or tablet and research director Peter Jackson, stream some of Gandalf and company’s earlier roles, drool over Hobbiton, dig into Tolkienisms, and enter Hobbit-relevant giveaways here, here and here. Plus, you might as well earn a few more entries for the Hulu Plus giveaway, because, seriously, why not?
(And don’t forget your Bilbo blanket-with-sleeves throw for staying warm in the theatre line. Yeah, that exists. Don’t pretend you don’t want one now.)
I’ll be queueing up for a midnight HFR 3D showing and will report back tomorrow on both the film and the new format. Look for tweets from the Hobbit line later tonight!
What’s your Hobbit watching plan?

oh man — that hobbit throw is ridiculous. :)
as for my viewing plan — sitting next to you! :) can’t wait. hopefully I won’t be too tired; my plan for sleeping in this morning was ruined by someone chopping tree limbs bright and early in the neighbourhood. yeesh.
Loosely planning to see the HFR tomorrow at 1pm….but if something comes up definitely on Monday. Can’t wait to hear what you think, both about the movie and HFR!
Heard a good, balanced review on NPR today: https://hereandnow.wbur.org/2012/12/13/hobbit-tolkien-movie
totally buying that throw… ;) Have fun tonight!
My hubby & I were hoping to see The Hobbit just after Christmas…alas, my girls both got sick on Christmas Eve (also my eldest girl’s b-day). Hopefully we will get to the theater before the New Year to see it…I’ve been gearing up with all of the Lord Of The Rings films!
