It’s a good thing that winter is citrus season, because I think most of us could probably use something sunny and cheery right about now. There’s nothing like some zesty lemon or orange to usher us though these remaining winter days. These fruits round out flavor in a dish, with their bright acidity, not to mention they deliver a nice, bright pop of color!

I love that citrus fruits are in season in the winter. It almost seems wrong to have something so sunny and bright be legal at this time of year, but I adore all the tart and sweet flavors all year round.
