  1. I love photos on a white background! You inspire me to improve ;)

  2. Thank you for sharing your photography tips – I’m learning so much :) I hope to improve my photography skills this year for my blog. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me.

  3. Excellent information!  Thank you for being so generous with your tips and info!  I love photography and there’s always more to learn and ways to improve.  I just started a niche food blog that I intend to use as a resource for readers as well as a platform to sell the porcelain egg cups that I make.  I eventually want to start a full-blown food blog because I’ve discovered as I’ve worked on my blog that I love to cook and photograph food.  I will definitely put your tips to good use as I move forward.  Thanks again!

    BTW, I’m a single gal too.  :-)

    • Thanks, Sandra, that’s awesome! And your deviled eggs look DELICIOUS! That’s really cool that you’ve found something new that you have a passion for. What a sweet discovery! : )

  4. I just discovered your site today, and I’m already excited about it. There are thousand of food blogs, but yours really stands out. These tips are really amazing. Thanks for sharing them with us for free.
    Thanks ,

  9. My sister loves photography and would love to make a career out of it someday. These are great resources and I’ll make sure she looks through them. Do you have any tips on printing photos, wither for framing or in photo books? I’m trying to be better about displaying photos after I take them! Thanks for all the information!

    • Oh man, I wish I did. I’m terrible about printing photos. If you find any good tips, I’d love to hear ’em! :)

  10. Hey,

this is an excellent list of resources! I bet that amateur photographers would find this very helpful. I love that you included links to a variety of posts. It is really great to be able to read up on all of this!
    Best,
    Dennis

  11. Ahhhh I’ve been TEARING through these tips over the past few days! Just treated myself to an upgrade from my Canon Rebel to a 6d and a 100mm macro lens after FIVE YEARS of blogging. Too long. Love your style of photography! You’re the BEST- this is so helpful and I’ve never been so excited about photographs of green beans before :-) Quick question- do you shoot in raw? I can’t seem to wrap my head around it and I don’t know if it’s worth it (although I hear it is).

    • Yay, glad it’s been helpful!! I actually go back and forth between shooting in raw. I know, I know, I’ve been told a thousand times why I should. But I rarely find myself needing the editing flexibility of raw, and the file sizes are SO much smaller. But…to each, her own! I say go with whatever feels good to you! ;)
